Planning committee refused permission on the security fence application but granted permission for a large store shed and car park

Last week, the planning committee refused permission on the security fence application but granted permission for a large store shed and car park on the open land adjacent to the existing building envelope.

The SAFE group worked against both applications and hope that the passing of the shed and car park application does not generally endorse the method of gaining planning consent by 'creep', nor send a message that building commercially in the open countryside is acceptable.
