Rabbit Infestation at Knighton

Following complaints about the Rabbit infestation along the railway cutting in Knighton, the LoggerheadsParish Council is taking action to solve the issue.

This will include the use of small air rifles and torches. This will mainly happen in the early morning and evening. This will be ongoing, but not on a regular basis.

The man who is carrying out the work is registered and qualified with the BASC (British Association of Shooting and Conservation) and we will inform the local police on the days he is working.

Signs will be erected at either end of the cutting when he is operating in the area for everyone’s safety.

Dear Watch Member,

Between 8am and 4pm on Tuesday 16th June a burglary was committed at a dwelling in Newcastle Road Loggerheads. During the temporary absence of the occupier entry was gained by forcing a conservatory window an untidy search was made of all rooms. Stolen were two T.V's, one a 42" and the other a 21", both with flat screens, along with a play station 3 with games. No one was seen or heard however some form of transport would have been used. Please make your neighbours aware of this burglary. Remind them to be extra vigilant and security conscious and to report any suspicious person or incident to the police immediately.

Anyone who may have information concerning this burglary should contact Kidsgrove Police quoting incident number 518 of 16th June or for complete anonymity ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Thank you.
