Do you have any spare fruit and/or vegetables?

A local resident writes "Do you have any spare fruit and/or vegetables? I am a keen producer of homemade preserves (most of which are used for fundraising for local charities) but do not have the time to grow my own ingredients! If you have any extra produce I'd be most grateful to receive it and turn it into delicious jams, chutneys etc."

Showstoppers! met again last month, this time at Mucklestone Church. We travelled back in time as members of the congregation, taking the parts of St John, Mary, a Roman soldier and a bystander, retold the events of the first Holy Week. Then there were two workshops of games, puzzles and crafts, as well as singing and some dance. We made hot cross buns which we gave out to all the adults in the service the following day.
We had a special Palm Sunday service the next day with a real donkey! We started in Mrs Friend’s garden and sang as we followed the donkey to Church. Lots of us dressed up and read what happened each day of Holy Week and we moved around the Church as we came to each new day. We finished with drinks and cakes which were delicious.
