| DRUNK Door to Door
Seller A local resident received 2 visits recently from ex offenders who are selling cleaning products. The first young man was swearing at me under his breath because the resident wouldn't buy anything and the second gentleman was totally drunk he could barely stand let alone speak. Another resident observed similar people in the centre of Loggerheads obviously drunk sitting on their bag of sales items. Advice from the Police - if just a nuisance - dial non emergency number 0300 123 44 55 However in the case of the drunken and abusive door step seller - dial 999 |

| Event: Little Tommy
Tucker the Pantomime Venue: Grove Campus Date: Tuesday 17th February to Saturday 21st February including a Saturday matinee. Time: Evening 7:30pm Matinee 2:30pm Ticket Prices: Adults £6:00 Concessions: £5:00 Plot: The story centres around two music schools which exist in an English country town. One run by dame Ditty and the other by Dr Discord. Rivalry between the two schools comes to a head when the Duke of Sterling and his daughter Sophie arrive in town and decide a singing competition should take place. As in true Pantomime style the evil Dr Discord tries to win using dastardly magical powers! But will good win over evil? Quotes: Kim Atkin (Mother Curseum). “I play the nasty Mother Curseum who helps to disrupt the singing competition. It’s a great part that brings out an evil side so plenty of booing and hissing is needed!”
Hope Brownhill (Tommy Tucker). “This is my first production with the Amdrams and everyone has made me feel very welcome, the atmosphere is great. I think it’s going to be a great show so make sure you all come to see it!”
Mel France (Melody). “Being in the Amdrams is a thrilling experience and I’m really enjoying playing the part of Melody.”
Alfie Chevins (Chorus and the part of ‘the Boy’). “It’s my first show with the adult society but I have lots of friends involved. It’s a very funny show; I’m really looking forward to it.” |

Children’s Trust Commissioner for Parents is going ‘on tour’ in March around Staffordshire Dear All As the Children’s Trust Commissioner for Parents I am going ‘on tour’ in each of the 8 Staffordshire Districts during March 2009. The purpose is to talk to parents and carers and ensure that their views about the priorities for our county “Parenting and Family Strategy” are heard and subsequently incorporated into the Strategy. I would be grateful if you could promote my tour with parents and carers so that they know they can have their say. I have attached a flyer detailing the tour dates and venues which you can print and give directly to parents or use as a poster to advertise it. I will of course be feeding back my findings to the county Children’s Trust so that parents’ views really do start to make a difference to strategy content and Children’s Trust thinking. Please promote this as far and as wide as you can. With thanks Charlotte Bailey |
