Staffordshire Credit Union is available to people living or working in Staffordshire

(If you know someone, who may benefit from this article, please pass it on.)
Credit unions are financial co-operatives owned and controlled by their members. They offer savings and great value loans plus they are local, ethical and know what their members want.

Staffordshire Credit Union will be available to people living or working in Staffordshire and will be initially servicing Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire Moorlands and Stafford Borough. Students and Volunteers are included within our "common bond".

A key objective of Staffordshire Credit Union will be to provide access to affordable loans to people who are excluded from mainstream financial services, and who currently would be reliant on legal doorstep lender who charge extremely high interest rates, or illegal money lenders (“loan sharks”) who charge astronomically high interest rates (117,000% in one case), and use violence and criminal methods to recover debts.
