Burntwood Fire Damage + Campers

David Loades, the new Chairman of Loggerheads Parish Council, has informed me that The Parish council has arranged for the Police to put patrols on alert over the weekend to the area between the hours of 10.30pm and 3.00am.

They have agreed to inform all patrols and ensure the area is checked on a regular basis.

They have also requested if you see or are made aware of campers on the site that you report it to the help desk on the non emergency number.

New Staffordshire Non Emergency Police Number - 0300 123 44 55

Please ask for an incident number and forward it to David - details below.

So please I would be grateful if any one reporting campers on the site that they ring this number or the emergency number if of course a fire has already started.

David Loades can be emailed at david@lakelandpromotions.com or by mobile phone number 07960 131408

Local Artist has an exhibition at Dorothy Clive Gardens until Sunday 14 June

Angie Pyatt has an exhibition of wildlife art and photography at the Dorothy Clive Garden until Sunday 14 June

Ashley House - Nearly at the third anniversary of 'stopping Ashley House from expanding'

Nearly at the third anniversary of 'stopping Ashley House from expanding', it seems that there is some cause for concern again. There was a recent meeting to which only selected neighbours of the site were invited along with representatives from the Catholic Church and the parish council, though other neighbours were ignored and the publicity afforded by this meeting has been limited.

Apparently the new boss at Ashley House is trying to 'build bridges' so that they can comply with new legislation to surround the whole site with a 3.6m fine mesh security fence. At the same time, I believe through hearsay that there may be moves to tarmac the (still illegal) car park and build a brick outbuilding in place of some temporary wooden sheds. Also, the current solid wooden panel fencing, most noticeably providing screening along Elder Tree lane track would be removed and replaced with the mesh security fence.
