At the moment over 70 volunteers deliver Our Community News to all 2,000+ homes in the area.

We could do with some "spare" volunteers who could help when one of our regulars is unavailable.

    Staffordshire Police would like to invite all members of the community to attend this annual event and meet a representative of the Neighbourhood
    Policing Management and your local Community Officers. Representatives from the Police Authority and County Council have been invited to attend as well.

    The current crime trends for the previous 12 months will be available along with an opportunity to discuss local issues with your local officers.

    Recycling Presentation Tuesday 23rd February at 7.30pm, Hugo Meynell School.

    Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council’s Recycling Officers will be delivering a presentation to the Loggerheads community about the recycling service.

    The Recycling Officers will talk about the exciting service changes commencing 2nd March 2010. They will provide a detailed explanation on the introduction of the weekly food waste collections, extension of the garden waste service and every other week refuse collections. Additionally, the recycling officers will explain what happens to all the recyclables once they have been collected from your kerbside.

    Staffordshire Wildlife Trust events for 2010 to be held at the Wolseley Centre:

    Wolseley Craft Fayre

    Saturday 27th February, 10.00am – 4.00pm

    A range of stalls covering the whole of the ground floor of the Visitor Centre, selling unique and handmade craft items.

    £1.00 Admission

    Easter Eggstravaganza

    2nd – 5th April, 10.00am – 5.00pm

    An action packed weekend of activities, displays and shows at the Wolseley Centre with an Easter treasure hunt. Stafford Outdoor Leisure will also be here selling a range of tents and camping equipment. Infocus will be here on the 3rd April with a range of binoculars and optics gadgets.

    £1.00 per Treasure Map, receive an Easter egg on completion

    Gardening Day

    Monday 3rd May, 11.00am – 5.00pm

    Discover how to create a haven for wildlife in your own garden and gain an insight into how the gardens at the Wolseley Centre are looked after to benefit wildlife.

    Food and Beer Festival

    Saturday 5th June, 11.00am – 11.00pm

    11.00am – 5.00pm – A range of stalls selling some of Staffordshire’s finest foods

    11.00am – 11.00pm – Come and enjoy an array of speciality beers from local brewers such as Titanic, Slater’s and Blythe Brewery.

    Relax in our 26 acres of beautiful scenery and enjoy live music from a wide variety of local musicians throughout the entire day.
