Part Time Computer Courses in Whitmore Village Hall

Whitmore Village Hall holds Part Time Computer Courses on a Thursday. The course is supported by Adult Community Learning SCC. The cost is £5 per session paid at start of 6 week course. These will be starting again after Easter - but the beginners course is full

The course tutor might repeat this or else do an improvers course provided there is enough interest.

Information sought - Last week there was an incident at the Sheet Anchor in Baldwins Gate

Dear Watch Member

Last week there was an incident at the Sheet Anchor in Baldwins Gate when an offender was disturbed in one of the pubs outbuildings.

Whilst no offender was apprehended it is perhaps relavent to remind you all of the need to be aware of such activity in and around your local somewhat isolated drinking holes and to report any suspicious activity at the time to the police in order to get a quick response.

 

 

House burglary in Blore Road Hales

Between 7.45am and 11.45pm on Tuesday 9th March a burglary was committed at a dwelling in Blore Road, Hales. During the temporary absence of the occupier it is believed entry was gained through a rear window. Once inside a search was made. Stolen were 2 demi jars containing cash. No one was seen or heard. Please make your neighbours aware of this burglary. Remind them to be extra vigilant and security conscious and to report any suspicious person or incident to the police immediately.

Staffordshire Naturally - photographic competition

Beswicks are inviting local photographers to share their favourite photographs of nature in the county in our 2010 photography competition.
Simon Woodings, Managing Partner is confident that the diversity of landscapes throughout Staffordshire will inspire people to capture the natural beauty, flora and fauna within the county.
There are 4 categories of photograph:
• Wonders of Wildlife
• Lure of the Landscape
• Environmentally Friendly
• On the Water
The competition is open for entries from 1st March to 1st June 2010 and entrants will need to register online at www.beswicks.com to participate. Winners will be notified by 9th July 2010, and the entries will be displayed at an exhibition on Festival Park from September 2010.
